In anticipation of the match against Spain on November 16 at the New Stadium of Malabo, Equatorial Guinea’s National Nzalang has selected its lineup, which includes Casillas, Ramos, Busquets, Villa and Iniesta.
This is a major opportunity for the chosen Equatoguinean players to prove their skills since Spain is the current world champion and a two-time champion of Europe.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, along with other officials from the Equatorial Guinean Football Federation (FEGUIFUT), confirmed the match on November 7th. Since then, there has been growing anticipation that can be felt throughout the nation.
To add to the pressure, the Second Vice President for Defense and State Security, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, promised five million euros to the National Nzalang if they beat Spain. The Second Vice President also promised 50,000 euros for each goal scored.
