Equatorial Guinea’s Women Nzalang Under-20 Prepare for Finals

Screen Shot 2014-01-10 at 2.14.50 PMOn Saturday, January 11, Equatorial Guinea’s Women’s Nzalang Under-20 will play Ghana in the final round of the Women’s Under-20 World Cup Canada. The teams will play at the new stadium in Malabo.

According to Equatorial Guinea’s coach, Juan Micha, Ghana will be a tough team to defeat; however, the women on Nzalang have been working hard to prepare for this match.

The national team of Ghana have a high level and we have great respect for the team, but we will try to get a good result, which could be 2-0,” he said.

The return leg of the final round will be played in the capital Accra the weekend of January 25, and the winning team will travel to the World Cup in Canada.

Equatorial Guinea’s National Nzalang Prepares to Face Spain

Screen Shot 2013-11-12 at 2.19.33 PMIn anticipation of the match against Spain on November 16 at the New Stadium of Malabo, Equatorial Guinea’s National Nzalang has selected its lineup, which includes Casillas, Ramos, Busquets, Villa and Iniesta.

This is a major opportunity for the chosen Equatoguinean players to prove their skills since Spain is the current world champion and a two-time champion of Europe.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, along with other officials from the Equatorial Guinean Football Federation (FEGUIFUT), confirmed the match on November 7th.  Since then, there has been growing anticipation that can be felt throughout the nation.

To add to the pressure, the Second Vice President for Defense and State Security, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, promised five million euros to the National Nzalang if they beat Spain. The Second Vice President also promised 50,000 euros for each goal scored.
