The Republic of Equatorial Guinea led a recent meeting between the Equatoguinean Football Federation (FEGUIFUT) and the African Football Confederation (CAF).
The President of FEGUIFUT, Andrés Jorge Mbomio Nsem, led the discussions regarding the future of African football and various sanctions against certain athletic clubs.
FEGUIFUT, along with legal entities, proposed an agreement to CAF in order to resolve the sanctions conflict as quickly and fairly as possible.
Equatorial Guinea has invested heavily in and been involved with athletics on the international level, including hosting the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015 at the state-of-the-art facilities in Malabo and receiving the former head of The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
The meeting, organized by the Moroccan Football Federation, took place in Rabat, Morocco.
